Using XSport MAIL, you can email to communicate event (game, practice, or other) changes to email addresses using your default Mail Program that is configured for your computer. (outlook, windows mail, thunderbird) - NOTE: if using MS Outlook, turn off the use of MSWord to edit your email messages (MS Outlook, Tools, Options, MailFormat. You may continue to use either HTML or plain TEXT mode for the sending of emails messages.
When Selecting the Mail or Send Mail button your default mail client (outlook, windows mail, and thunderbird) will automatically open and a new message open.
To MAIL an EVENT CHANGE from when in MAINTAIN SCHEDULE
1. Open the Event that requires a change.
2. Edit the Event as needed.
3. Select the MAIL button at the middle right of the window as in the image below.
4. XSport will auto-launch your default email program and open a new message for sending.
5. As in the image below, you will be presented with a familiar screen that will have auto-filled the subject with the particulars of both the Original Event and the New Event.
6. At this time, you may complete your message and send as desired.
If your default mail program is not opening you need to ensure that your mail program change this to another mail program that is loaded on your computer you may change the default mail client. Go here to learn how.
TIP: If you find that the auto-text filled in the subject only includes the original events or only the EVENT DETAILS then there were no changes made to the event prior to selecting the MAIL button. You may use this as a way to remind persons of events.
