Each Seasons defined holds Centres. If your schedule is for teams that are local to one centre then only one centre needs to be created. If there Teams in your schedule will be playing Teams from other Centres then each Centre needs to be defined.
Remember: Conflicts are only defined for only the Centres that you Manage. You may manage more then one Centre. Conflicts DO cross centres.
To setup a CENTRE from the XSport menu toolbar (toolbar: Is the menu bar at the top of the main screen with the buttons and options that you use to carry out commands.)
1. Select the Setup option from the menu.
2. Select the Centres option from the submenu.
3. Click the ADD Centre button from the bottom of the window.
4. As in the image below, complete each of the respective fields.
· CENTRE ID – this is the centre ID - only use numbers and characters. No spaces, hyphens or other character.
· CENTRE DESCRIPTION – this is the friendly name that describes the centre ID – Use of number, characters, spaces, and hyphens may be used. The description is what is seen on reports and when working with the schedule.
· MANAGED CENTRE – This box is selected to identify which Centre is to be managed in this database. More then one Centre may be selected.
5. Select the SAVE button from the bottom option bar.
6. Repeat to enter all the Centres your teams play against.
7. Select the SAVE & CLOSE button from the bottom option bar once complete.
Tip Each Team and Facility will have a relationship with a Centre. This will be defined later.
Tip If you receive an error “UNABLE TO UPDATE ROW” when creating Centres, this error was generated because some fields had no data (null data) in it when adding a centre. This line must be removed. To remove a centre, click the ROW or LINE so that the entire ROW is highlighted that represents the Centre that has null data. Press the DEL key. The system will inform you that you are about to remove 1 Row. Select Yes
