You can easily create a game in XSport NeXus. There 3 ways that games can be entered.
1. Add a Game - one at a time
2. Add a Game - using the recurring methodology (used when a game may be played at the same time each week)
3. Import Games from a spreadsheet (.xls or .csv)
The steps on this page are to Add a Game - one at at time. For Adding a Game using the other methods return to the Creation of Events Menu.
To CREATE a GAME from the XSport main screen:
1. Select the Work with the Schedule option from the main screen as in the image below.
 2. Select the Add ..New Event button from the bottom of the Schedule Maintenance screen.
3. As in the image below complete the following fields:
DIVISION: (mandatory)
EVENT TYPE: (mandatory) - SELECT GAME
EVENT ID: (mandatory) You may use the AUTO assigned ID or edit to reflect your own numbering. The Event ID can be Alpha / Numeric
START DATE: (mandatory) Select the down arrow icon to have the calendar pop up so that you can change dates. You may as well type in this field using the format mm/dd/yyyy.
START TIME: (mandatory) Type in the correct start time for your game.
END DATE: (mandatory) Select the down arrow icon to have the calendar pop up so that you can change dates. You may as well type in this field using the format mm/dd/yyyy.
END TIME: (mandatory) The system will auto fill the duration specified in your Setup of Divisions, as what the game length in minutes should be. You may edit this time if needed for the the correct end time for your game.
DESCRIPTION: (optional) This field may be used if you want to identify that is is an exhibition, playoff or other type of game.
FACILITY: (mandatory) Use the down arrow icon to select the Facility where the game will be held. You may use your keyboard to quickly find the facility instead of scrolling. i.e. Type T for all the facilities that begin with T
HOME: This is an optional field if you do not know who the home team is. Inorder for this event to be displayed on any TEAM REPORTS it is MANDATORY to have both home and away fields completed. Use the down arrow icon to pick the home team.
AWAY: This is an optional field if you do not know who the away team is. Inorder for this event to be displayed on any TEAM REPORTS it is MANDATORY to have both home and away fields completed. Use the down arrow icon to pick the away team.
HOME SCORE: (optional) This is to be used when the game is completed.
AWAY SCORE: (optional) This is to be used when the game is completed.
3. Once complete with all game information, from the bottom of this screen Select the button SAVE & CLOSE or SAVE, CLOSE & MAIL or CANCEL
SAVE & CLOSE: Will save the game information and return you to the Schedule Maintenence Screen.
SAVE, CLOSE & MAIL: Will save the game information, open a new mail message (from your default mail program) and auto fill the game particulars in the body of the email message and return you to the Schedule Maintenence Screen.
CANCEL: Will return you to the Schedule Maintenence Screen and not save any game information.
