Installation of the Software XSport Schedule
 
To obtain XSport software please download from our website HERE or email us so that we may mail you the program on a CD.
If you have chosen to download please follow the instructions on the download page.

Before installing be sure you have recently completed running Windows Updater and selected to download the optional update for the .NET framework.

XSport works in a Microsoft 98, 2000, XP or Vista environment.
If you have obtained a CD, insert CD into your computer.
 
1.   Select My Computer
2.   Select the correct drive letter
3.   Run setup.exe.
4.   The program will install on the local C Drive. If your hard drive does not have a C : drive please email NeXus Support for a patch file.

Once the program is installed, upon first start it will ask for an activation code. Cut-And-Paste the information you have received from NeXus into the registration screen:
 
Product Key: <key provided by NeXus>
Name Key: <key provided by NeXus>
Activation Key:<unique key provided by NeXus>
Once complete you may begin to use the program. 
 
To Open and Use the Demo Database.
 
 

Before first use, you must create or open a database. This database will be holding all of your scheduling information.

NeXus includes a demo database with the software. This can be used as a guide on how to create divisions, teams, and events. In order to access this database you must restore the “demo” database and set it to be the active database.

These steps are to be completed upon first time installation only.

Step 1.   Using the NeXus XSport toolbar go to File, and then on the submenu select Open.
Step 2.   Select the Button Restore Database.
Step 3.   Click Browse, and find the file at this location. Find 060821-Nexus-Xsport-DEMO.bak

You may use the below image as a guide.



Step 4.   Find the File. Click Open

Step 5.   Next, using the image below match your screen to the same presets then select Restore Database.

 

 

Step 6.  Once completed, you will be prompted with a "restore succeeded" box.

Step 7.  Click Close.|

Step 8.  The final step is to set the OrgCode to be the word DEMO.

Step 9. Using the XSport Toolbar go to File, Select Open so that you are using the same Set Active Database Screen as below.

Step 9.   Populate the Org Codes, by selecting the "Populate Org Codes" button then use the drop down arrow to highlight the word DEMO.

Step 10.  Select Open Database.

You will then be returned to the main XSport Screen. Under Seasons there should be 4 sample seasons to work with as per the below image. You may select one and begin playing with the temporary data.

 

Tip When you are ready to begin to CREATE your own schedule. Come back to this screen and create the ORG CODE to NXS.
Tip  To return to the Demo data change the ORG CODE back to DEMO.

To Check When Subscription is up for Renewal
 
It is a good to keep an eye when your subscription is required to be renewed. It is recommended that you notify NeXus Applications one month prior to the end of subscription to inform you procedures on how to renew.
 
To Check your SUBSCRIPTION from the XSport menu toolbar< (toolbar: Is the menu bar at the top of the main screen with the buttons and options that you use to carry out commands.)
1. Select the Help option from the menu.
2. Select the About NeXus Schedule XSport option from the submenu.
